This empowers an individual to be in control of his or her financial accounts, enabling the cardholder to monitor online transactions occurring on the account in real time. SafePay has a growing network of online retailers to whom they are providing a solution to protect shoppers from the threat of online fraud. SafePay’s solution enables the cardholder to verify and authorize each transaction on his or her account before it is completed, thereby protecting the cardholder from becoming a victim of online fraud.

So, how does SafePay work?
SafePay has developed a solution that brings greater protection to their registered cardholders and registered online retailers. Every time a cardholder’s payment card goes through the shopping cart of an online retailer, SafePay sends the cardholder a request, directly to their SafePay smartphone app. The cardholder must verify the transaction within 60 seconds. If the cardholder is making the online transaction, they simply click ‘Confirm’ and they safely proceed to final step of the online checkout completing their purchase. If however the cardholder is not shopping online but the account information was unlawfully acquired or stolen, the cardholder will be able to click ‘Deny’ and terminate the online purchase immediately. If the cardholder is not able to respond in time, then SafePay informs the online retailer who then determines whether to proceed with the transaction or not. The cardholder will be able to view an activity log of their card(s). Cardholders will also be able to create and archive SafePay Reports on Confirmed, Denied, Fraud and Timed-Out activities. Through SafePay, registered cardholders will now have the power to protect themselves and actively prevent fraud.

SafePay is FREE to all cardholders. When creating an account, SafePay will only ever ask you for the following:
Your full legal name (as it appears on your payment card)
Your primary billing address
Only the first 6 and last 6 digits of your payment card
Your smartphone number
Your primary email address

SAFEPAY WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR COMPLETE CARD NUMBER, EXPIRATION DATE AND THE 3 OR 4 DIGIT SECURITY NUMBER ON YOUR CARD.
